Cabonne towns up for a tidy-up – Have your say

Cabonne Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified firms to provide plans to redesign the main streets, entrances and focal points of towns, villages and localities within the Shire.

The designs will be developed in consultation with the communities of Borenore, Canowindra, Cargo, Cudal, Cumnock, Eugowra, Manildra, Molong, Mullion Creek, Nashdale and Yeoval.

The Council’s Acting Economic Development Manager Dale Jones said the aim was to revitalise town entrances, CBD areas or key focal points to make the towns and villages more inviting and attractive to residents and visitors.

He said firms submitting expressions of interest to provide plans and approximate costings should pay particular attention to town approaches, key focal points, street furniture, heritage assets, signage, pedestrian corridors and tourist walks.

“Although Council would like the designs to depict a general Cabonne theme, they should also reflect the individual characteristics of each village or locality,” Mr Jones said.
