Concrete poured and frames assembled on new residential aged care section

Another major milestone has been reached on the Molong Multipurpose Service (MPS) (i.e. “Hospital”) redevelopment with the pouring of concrete and installation of frames for the new residential aged care section.

The concrete pour is an important step in creating the suspended slab, which will form the floor-plate of the new residential aged care area. Construction on the overall redevelopment project is progressing well, following minor delays due to wet weather during August, September and October. Works already completed include excavation activities, construction of footings and blockwork walls, and a new mortuary.

Residents and staff are excited to see the physical changes occurring and were updated on the progress at a site update meeting in October. Construction is expected to be complete late in 2017.
